AI voices in Europe—including text to speech Germany, France, and across the EU—are available in two modes in VoiceOver Maker: normal (direct text-to-speech) and expressive (Director Studio with natural-language prompts). All 30 Google TTS voices work in both modes and in 24 languages, including European languages below.
30 AI voices (normal and expressive)
VoiceOver Maker uses Google Gemini TTS with 30 Chirp3-style voices. The same voices are available in normal mode (pick a voice and language, enter text, generate) and in expressive mode (Director Studio), where you describe how you want the voice to sound—e.g. “speak like a radio DJ” or “whisper nervously.”
Voice names: Zephyr, Puck, Charon, Kore, Fenrir, Leda, Orus, Aoede, Callirrhoe, Autonoe, Enceladus, Iapetus, Umbriel, Algieba, Despina, Erinome, Algenib, Rasalgethi, Laomedeia, Achernar, Alnilam, Schedar, Gacrux, Pulcherrima, Achird, Zubenelgenubi, Vindemiatrix, Sadachbia, Sadaltager, Sulafat.
European languages supported
For AI voiceover France, Germany, and the rest of Europe, these languages are supported for the 30 Google voices:
- ✓ German (Germany) — de-DE
- ✓ French (France) — fr-FR
- ✓ Dutch (Netherlands) — nl-NL
- ✓ Italian (Italy) — it-IT
- ✓ Polish (Poland) — pl-PL
- ✓ Romanian (Romania) — ro-RO
In total, 24 languages are supported (including English US, Spanish US, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, and others).
Director Studio: 20 performance templates
In expressive mode, you can use natural-language prompts or choose from 20 built-in Director Studio templates, including: Radio DJ, Explorer, Detective, Zen Master, Old Salt, Influencer, Curator, Architect, Storyteller, Ancient Oracle, Announcer, NYC Driver, AI System, ASMR Artist, Outlaw, Thespian, Nanny, Sea Creature, Droid.
